The City of Vilnius is opening opportunities for foreign-born residents to improve their Lithuanian language skills, ease integration, and take a more active part in city life. Courses last 75 academic hours, are organized in collaboration with Vytautas Magnus University, and provide the option to earn an academic certificate with ECTS credits.
The courses are designed for all language levels and stages of integration – from beginners who want to handle everyday communication, to more advanced learners aiming to participate effectively in work and community life. In addition to classroom learning, participants will have the chance to join Lithuanian language clubs, where they can practice their skills, meet others, and feel more connected to the city community.
All non-EU citizens and stateless persons with a residence permit in Lithuania and registered in Vilnius are welcome to join. Registration is already open, and before classes start, participants can assess their current Lithuanian level and select the learning format that suits them best.
UPDATED. Registration is temporarily suspended. It will open in June 2026 as groups are formed for the next phase.
